Drilling Calculator
1. This calculator is designed for quick calculation of drilling process parameters, covering key drilling-specific parameters such as machining time, cutting speed, spindle speed, feed rate, axial force, and torque.
2. Please ensure unit consistency when entering parameters: cutting speed in [m/min], drill diameter and drilling depth in [mm], and spindle speed in [min⁻¹], to avoid calculation errors caused by unit mismatches.
3. When selecting the workpiece Brinell hardness (HB), accurately match it to the actual material being machined (e.g., non-alloy steel, aluminum alloy, hardened steel, etc.). The hardness value directly affects the calculation of power and force parameters such as required power and axial force.
4. The drilling depth parameter must include the drill "approach" and "overtravel" (a clearance of 2–5 mm is recommended). Entering only the workpiece thickness will result in an underestimated actual machining time.
5. When calculating torque, first obtain the accurate Pc value from the "Required Power" module, then enter the cutting speed and drill diameter to complete the calculation, ensuring logical consistency between parameters.
Disclaimer: All calculation results are for process planning reference only. Actual machining should be adjusted according to on-site conditions such as machine tool performance and tool condition. Trial cutting is recommended before full production. This tool assumes no liability for the results of use.
